ANSWERS:
Q.01: What is the address of my web site?

When you sign up for your hosting package with Rediff Business Solutions, you first have to book a domain name (www.yourdomainname.com) that you can use to view your web site. Your domain name is your business address online. You can actually view your web site using any of the following addresses:

http://yourdomain.com

http://www.yourdomain.com

(Replace "yourdomain" with your domain name)
Q.02: How do I use FTP?

The easiest way to transfer files to your site is to use a File Transfer Protocol (FTP) utility. Often, FTP clients are bundled with your Internet service provider package. Your FTP username and password will be sent to you in your email. After you connect to the FTP server, you can directly access the directory containing your files by entering the File Manager. You'll be able to see the files in your directory, as well as edit them, delete them, rename them, and more.

Q.20: Why is my file being denied?

Your file may be denied for one or more of the following reasons:

The file type is not supported.

The file size is too large.

The name of your file is invalid.

Here are some things to check before you post the file again:

Please visit our File Types List to view our supported file types.

Our FTP servers also check to see if the file being uploaded has the correct file extension. If you have a .bmp image and simply change the file extension to that of .gif or .jpg, our servers are setup to deny it. To convert a .bmp image to a .gif or .jpg image, you'll need to use an image-editing program. An evaluation copy of Paint Shop Pro is available at: www.jasc.com

We suggest that you try to keep your file sizes under 2MB per file. This will also decrease the time it takes for your visitors to view your files.
Q.21: Why am I unable to connect to the FTP server?

This may due to a line disruption. We request you to please try again at your convenience. Please also check the username and password you are using. They should valid and are case sensitive.
